On Sunday 20/01/13 at 15.45 The Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue team where requested by Gardai to assist two people who’s vehicle had become trapped in snow and ice in the Glenmalure area. The driver managed to free their vehicle while a mountain rescue 4x4 vehicle was on route.
Mountain rescue would like to thank the people involved.
We would like to remind all motorists the conditions on high mountain roads are still very dangerous and snow and ice has made some mountain pass roads (especially Sally Gap) impassable.
