On Saturday 19/01/13 at 17.45 Gardai requested assistance from the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team to locate a walker in the Devils Glen area of Ashford co Wicklow. A mountain rescue party where tasked to locate the missing man. As they started the search they came across him near the forest entrance.
The second incident was later that evening at around 18.00. A vehicle with 2 motorists got trapped in heavy snow near the Sally Gap where two mountain rescue personnel came across them. The stranded motorists were evacuated to Tallaght.
