Today 1st January 2012, at 4.45pm both Dublin & Wicklow Mt Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team were contacted by 4 hillwalkers who had become disoriented whilst descending from Lugnaquillia, Leinster's highest mountain. They were picked up safely by team members in one of the Mountain rescue vehicles. They had become lost, but had managed to find a forestry track and the Rescue team were able to pinpoint them from their description of the area.
Thanks to all who attended and assisted in the operation. Everyone was safely back by 7.30pm
